I hope that work could be done to refine the process for a citizen's assembly so that it would be ready to go in case of another vacancy in the future.
While I advocated for the appointment in this particular case, I was disappointed at the tone from some councillors emphasizing speed and avoiding expense. Those should have been minor considerations in my mind.
